For a new wave

That 'The College Times' is publishing a few of its pages in English fills me with elation. Itahari remains, until now, a young town with many dimensions left for it to improve and expand. Young people nave now, started coming to the fore. They believe in the idea of the supremacy of knowledge. English being an expansive medium for those young scholars here have tried their hand at publishing and being published in English. I think this experiment will be fructifying at long last for this young town and its enlightened populace.

Expanding Horizon

Good English is a valuable propery of young generation in Nepal. It helps in the expansion of tis horizon of knowledge, dreams and connection with the globe. A creative culture that we are proud of can be exchanged with the same throughout the world only through English. This all demands the capacity of creatively sharp use of this language on the part of this generation and the generations to come.

I hope College Times will be able to address this need and will provide space and opportunities for college students of this time. Looking at young and enthusiastic journalists, English teachers, researchers and learners' involvement in it, we can expect a lot.

Examination Fever

Name of the disease - Examinant

Carrier of the disuse - Exam -in action

Symptoms:

Victims of this disease are found worried & anxious just a month or a week before examination they spend sleepless nights & victim lose their appetite.

Cause:

Disease is caused mainly due to irregularity, carelessness in study & being over confident

Effects:

While reading question victim become nervous. There is lot of excitement at 1st sight of paper heart beans at rate of 100 beats per-minute.

Treatment:

There is no treatment .this disease usually makes student remain in same class. But being attentive, landraces & concentrate at study helps to prevent this disease.

"Try to be a winner" because

Winner: is always part of the answer

Loser: is always part of the problem.

Winner: says "let me do it"

Loser: says "that's not my job.

Winner: sees answer for ever problem.

Loser: sees problem for every problem.

Winner: says "it may be difficult but it is possible"

No time to act for fun

But always in fear with gun

Always swims for money like leech no time to have brother hood but always

What is gone is gone forever,

Cent percent perspire a lot to learn

Jerk up and be bold to hold

Life not the same old game,

Not the "ping pong" you play,

And cycle along the lane.    

Time never says "Hello!"

We are very glad to announce that we've started to print some pages of the magazine in English. We hope that this step can be proved as a milestone in the path of success of 'The College Times'. It is totally devoted to the students. We hope that this step can contribute them a lot as the platform to publish their creation. Moreover, reading is for fun and knowledge and we hope that our readers can achieve the both.
